M.S. in Finance & Investment Management Program Overview
The UNCW 100% online Master of Science in Finance & Investment Management (MSF) program is one of the only programs of its kind in the nation. Designed to prepare you for high-level positions in financial management, investment banking, or investment management, this program is tailored to closely align with CFA Institute's Candidate Body of Knowledge (CFA®CBOK). You will build a working familiarity with the CFA®Institute's Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct and Asset Manager Code of Conduct and Research Objectivity Guidelines. Program Objectives
In our MSF online program, you will:
- Develop a working understanding of the Chartered Financial Analyst Candidate Body of Knowledge (CFA® CBOK) and reduce the amount of preparation necessary to sit for the CFA®exam
- Acquire a working familiarity with CFA Institute's Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct and Asset Manager Code of Conduct and Research Objectivity Guidelines through case studies and real-world analysis
- Learn multiple approaches to equity valuation
- Understand alternative investment assets including hedge funds, private equity, commodities, real estate and infrastructure
- Develop expertise in financial statement analysis and the tools used to evaluate a firm's financial health.
- Gain skills in portfolio management and wealth planning, including portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and performance monitoring

Ethics in the Financial Marketplace; Equity Investments; Economics for Finance Professionals; Portfolio Management and Wealth Planning; Quantitative Investment Analysis; and more. Learn to interpret, assess and tackle challenging real-world situations with integrity in your capstone course, Ethics in Decision Making.
