Management Internships/Employment

According to the National Association of Colleges & Employers, the starting salary of interns averages $2,000-$3,000 more than non-interns. On average it takes interns 1.98 months to obtain their first job compared to the 4.34 months for non-interns.

Internships are available for academic credit or without academic credit. To receive academic credit, you need a 3.0 Cameron GPA, have completed MGT 350 and 6 hours of MGT or EBD courses. Students are encouraged to pursue internships, whether for academic credit or for experience.

How is an internship different from a part time job?

An internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development in a professional setting.
