CSB Alumni Chapter Update

With more than 14,000 graduates, the Cameron School of Business strives to keep all of its alumni connected to the university. Everyone who has attended Cameron School is considered a valued member of the UNCW Alumni Association and the CSB Alumni Chapter.

The chapter hosts signature events throughout the year including the quarterly Speaker Breakfast Series, Homecoming Reunion Breakfast and a featured event during CSB's annual Business Week. Networking opportunities

More than 50 alumni, faculty, staff, students and community members gathered Oct. 26 in Burney Center for a networking breakfast with keynote speaker Shaun Olsen '02, the owner of Olsen Enterprises, which established its first company, BBXComputers, in 2002. Olsen later created AcoustiCreations Inc. and Opterex Inc., Cape Fear businesses focused on network administration, systems integration and product management. His presentation, "The New Epoch of Technology and Entrepreneurship" was informational and inspiring. The attendees enjoyed the beautiful fall morning as they spoke with old friends and faculty members over breakfast.View photos from the event *Link does not work, will fix.

The Cameron School of Business Alumni Chapter is run by a volunteer committee of 15 alumni of all ages and geographic locations as well as retired faculty representatives. Kevin Fanning '02 is the 2011-12 chairperson, and Susan Chandler Webb '07 serves as vice chairperson. Fannining is the office executive at East Carolina Bank in Porters Neck in Wilmington. Webb is a sales director at Coverbind Corporation.

Homecoming breakfest

The CSB Alumni Chapter Steering Committee invites all alumni to join them at the CSB Homecoming Breakfast on Feb. 4 during Homecoming 2012 at 9:30 a.m. in the Computer Information Systems Building Atrium. Alumni and their families are invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast while they reminisce and catch up with old friends and faculty. For a complete list of all of the weekend's events visit

Alumni recognition breakfast

Save the date for the Cameron School of Business Outstanding Alumni Recognition and Speaker Breakfast at 7 a.m. March 28 in Madeline Suite. At this Business Week 2012 event, the school will recognize three outstanding CSB alumni individuals for outstanding achievement. The individuals will then participate in a brief panel discussion with Dean Larry Clark.
