With its central location in Europe Bremen provides a great jumping off point for weekend trips to places like Amsterdam, Prague, Paris and Berlin.

flights to places all over Europe.
The German rail system is outstanding and many students opt to use
the trains for their weekend travel. One option is a Eurrail

Temperature and Weather: As a result of its location Bremen is a great place to beat the heat of a North Carolina Summer. In fact, you would prefer that it doesn't get too hot, because most German buildings (including your hotel and the University) do not have air conditioning.
Bremen offers all the attractions of a large metropolitan area and yet retains the charm of 1,200 year old city. The Hochschule Bremen where students take classes is located on the Weser river near the city center district. There are an enormous variety of restaurants and nightlife options for students when they are not attending class, including the “Schlachte” the famous bier garden located along the river.
