International MBA Program (IMBA)
Began in the Fall 2007, the University of North Carolina Wilmington offers an International Master of Business Administration program as a member of the International Business School Alliance: Students will receive a dual master's degree while studying in 2 countries of their choice. This is a full-time program for students with an undergraduate degree in business, finance, or economics. All courses are taught in English. Fall term:
Students study core business courses in the following topic areas: Human Resource Management in the Global Environment., Global Marketing Strategies, International Finance, Global Strategic Analysis, and International Business Law as well as one elective course that varies by country.
Spring term:
Students must study in a different country from where they completed the core courses. Each country has a different specialization as follows:
- Bremen University of Applied Sciences: International Logistics & Supply Chain Management (MBA)
- University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom: Human Resource Management (MSc in Global Business)
- Universitat de Valencia: International Marketing (International MBA)
- Institute of Business Studies, Moscow: Transitional Economies & Emerging Markets (MS in International Business)
- University of North Carolina Wilmington: International Finance & Investments (MBA)
- Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK), Malaysia: Global Islamic Finance (MBA)
- Advancia-Negocia: International Business Development & Consulting (MSc in International Business Development & Consulting)
Summer term:
- Completion of a master thesis at specialization University
