Mondays--Thursdays with two Friday site visits
Computer and Information Systems Building #1003
Swain Summer Business Institute
Business skills can be applied across all industries and careers, regardless of an individual’s chosen field of employment. Non-business majors sometimes lack the skills necessary to transfer their education into a lucrative living. By providing insight into the principles and practices of operating a business, students will build a foundation so they can successfully pursue a career in any industry. In addition, basic life skills for professional and personal development will be explored.
For graduate and undergraduate students outside the business disciplines, gain competence and confidence in a broad range of business areas.
- develop leadership and teamwork skills
- learn the art of effective networking
- power your resume with functional skills
- practice interviewing with industry professionals
- strengthen your profile
- attend site visits to area businesses
