If you can think it, you can make it happen. We call enov8t an event, because this week will be the event to remember. Designed for high school students (rising 10th through 12th grades), Enov8t will teach about entrepreneurship and what it takes to start a business. Starting with team building and leadership skills, you will develop your own business idea, taking your idea from concept to completion.
Do you have a creative leaning? Do you like to strategize? Do you get excited about new ideas? Then enov8t may be your event to remember.
"I just wanted to thank you all for the experience my son had earlier this summer at the enov8t program. My son had a valuable experience and something unique to add to his college application this fall. We were riding in the car the other day and passed a truck and he said “I can't stop thinking about what I learned in that enov8t program when I see something (like that truck). I think about the product and how much it would cost to produce it.” He enjoyed the program a lot and it was one week of summer with time well spent. I appreciate all each of you did to make it a good experience for him because he missed our family vacation to attend enov8t." Parent of enov8t participant.
Instructors:Jonathan Rowe, director of the UNCW Entrepreneurship Center, and Fran Scarlett, regional director of the UNCW Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC), will serve as program directors. Along with special guest speakers, SBTDC business counselors, and UNCW student workers, they will educate and encourage the students with creating their own business ideas.
